In 2007, Northstar sold the majority interest of the company to Samson Resources (www.Samson.com) of Tulsa, Oklahoma. Samson is a premier Exploration/Production/Midstream Energy company with 12,000 Gas wells, gas processing, gathering and a growing footprint in the midstream sector. This growth is being boosted by a $2B/Y capital budget. Samson views Northstar and its customer contacts as an excellent vehicle in the expansion of the supply chain. They desire Northstar to remain a strong provider of gas services as this has lead to many investment opportunities. Northstar and Samson are creating grassroots gas midstream projects which are being originated by Northstar for in house ownership and development while serving our customer base.
