US Patent # 6,474,101 is for the design of a LNG Storage to CNG High Pressure Storage and Vehicle Fueling Station, requires no pumps or compressors.

The system will promote the growth of the CNG vehicle market by simplifying maintenance and enhancing the reliability of CNG refueling stations. There are twenty (20) separate claims in this patent.

The design provides solutions to key issues confronting the development of an expanded CNG distribution infrastructure for the refueling of CNG vehicles. It allows for greater fuel storage capacity on site, and a more efficient fast fill operation than traditional compressor based stations. Additionally, LNG fueled vehicles can be refueled at the station, removing the need for a separate facility to serve this market.

Northstar continues to pursue new technologies and look for ways to enhance the use of existing technologies. Current initiatives include a system to provide an integrated security monitoring system utilizing existing sensor technologies for pipelines and facilities in high-risk areas.
